Dan Sheldon brings a variety of hands-on corporate and entrepreneurial experience to PathPoint. Through a variety of professional experiences -- including being a CEO of a Fortune 1000 company, founding and starting several small businesses in a variety of industries, and actively participating as a board member for both public and not-for-profit businesses - Dan brings a unique senior leadership perspective to PathPoint.

Dan held a variety of senior management roles at Ferrellgas (NYSE: FGP) from 1986 through 2000, a period in which the company grew rapidly from a small regional propane company based in the Midwest USA to be the largest propane company in America (at that time) with annual revenues of $1B. After a variety of finance and administrative roles, Dan was appointed CFO in 1994, and led the successful IPO of the company that same year. He was named President - Retail Operations in 1996 and CEO of the company in 1998. The challenges of operating a company with wide geographic dispersion (over 5000 employees in 42 states) as well as an active ongoing acquisition program (over $500mm spent from 1994-2000), Dan developed a keen interest in the alignment of people systems and culture to achieve of financial and operational goals.

Most recently, Dan has been acted as founder/co-founder of several start-up enterprises, including a mail-order pharmacy, a water amusement park, and a casual dining restaurant. Dan also continues to be involved in corporate finance advisory work most recently completing the sale of a portfolio company owned by Morgan Stanley. Dan has a B.S. in Industrial Administration/Accounting from Iowa State University.
